It’s Easy to be Eligible for OpenRoad Insurance
How You Can Use Your Vehicle
- Designed for collector vehicles that are driven for enjoyment.
- Approved uses: car shows, club events, rallies, tours, and pleasure driving.
- Up to 7,500 miles annually may be considered, though 3,500 miles is more consistent with collector use.
- Daily driver use is not permitted (limited commuting may be considered).
Storing Your Vehicle
- Must be stored in a fully enclosed, secure structure: private garages, pole barns, car condominiums, or enclosed storage units.
- Possible alternatives include carports and parking garages with 24-hour security and restricted access.
- Not acceptable: street parking, parking lots, soft-sided or temporary structures.
Driver & Household Requirements
- All household drivers are subject to underwriting review.
- Minor violations or at-fault accidents may be acceptable; serious infractions (reckless driving, alcohol-related offenses) generally affect eligibility.
- Every licensed household driver must have their own separate daily-use vehicle.
- Motorcycles and public transportation do not qualify as daily-use vehicles.
